Being in nature makes us happy, and in a green garden you experience that every day. The mission of the studio is to bring people and nature closer together by designing gardens where you come home to nature. In every design, nature and architecture go hand in hand. In this way, flower-rich and playful gardens are created where enjoyment is simple, in every season of the year.

An ecological garden takes all its inhabitants into account. Every garden is part of an ecosystem, where plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms provide a healthy soil, clean air and a pleasant microclimate on hot summer days. In an ecological, biodiverse garden you will find plenty of greenery and sustainable materials.
water-wise
Water is a vital element of the garden. A water-wise garden is more resilient to prolonged droughts and heavy rain, and provides greater value for plants and animals. In this way, the garden becomes not only more beautiful, but also more resilient. Think of water collection, abundant greenery, smart material choices and planting that is adapted to the soil.
edible
The plants in the garden can serve not only as food for insects and other animals, but also for you. There is something special about harvesting from your own garden — a simple but profound joy. This is possible even without a vegetable garden: with fruit trees and bushes, herbs, and perennial vegetables. It makes us more conscious of our food and teaches children what healthy snacking is.
flower-rich
A flower-rich, carefully planned planting scheme moves with the seasons, offering multiple flowering moments throughout the year. From spring bulbs to summer splendour, and from autumn bloomers to winter silhouettes. In this way, the garden remains interesting all year round and a place where it is pleasant to spend time. At the same time, insects and other animals find plenty of food and habitat here.

the designer
The design studio was founded in 2025 by Dutch ecological garden designer Kim-Lan Jong Baw with the mission of bringing people and nature closer together. With care and attention, she creates green, ‘edible’ gardens where you feel at home in nature.
Kim-Lan lives in Sweden with her family and designs gardens in the Netherlands, Sweden, and beyond. Each design begins with a vision, after which she puzzles with lines and details until the space feels natural. She combines plants based on texture, colour, and flowering period, with attention to ecology and the seasons. Creating gardens where people, animals, and plants flourish.
